HSM Industrial Model FA-490.2 Strip-Cut / Cross-Cut Shredder. The HSM Model FA-490.2 is a conveyor shredder that offers high capacity, effective speed and quiet operation in a machine with a small footprint.  The shred capacity of the Model FA-490.2 is impressive due to the use of two, 4 horsepower motors, with one motor driving each cutting cylinder.  Many safety features are incorporated by using multiple switches to limit operator access to potentially dangerous areas during the shredding process.  In addition to shredding both individual sheets and continuous forms, the FA-490.2 will also shred materials such as CD's, floppy disks, credit cards, licenses and chip cards.  In a stand-alone version, the FA-490.2 will shred into a container of customers choice or a metal container on wheels available from HSM. The FA-490.2 can be combined with the Model 90E vertical baler for a very effective shredder/baler combination.

Available in multiple cuts:

1/4" strip cut will allow shredding of up to 180 sheets per pass depending on paper weight.
3/8" strip cut will allow shredding of up to 250 sheets per pass depending on paper weight.
3/16" x 2" particle cut will allow shredding of up to 220 sheets per pass depending on paper weight.
5/16" x 2" particle cut will allow shredding of up to 320 sheets per pass depending on paper weight.
3/8" x 2" particle cut will allow shredding of up to 440 sheets per pass depending on paper weight.
